During the one-day audit on 30 October 2013, business processes and procedures in R&D, application technology, procurement, production, customer service and marketing & distribution were scrutinized on the basis of random sampling by means of interviews, observation and examination of documentation, while compliance with the written processes described in the quality handbook and other relevant documentation was verified.

In the course of the audit, the chief auditor from the SWISS TS certification body particularly praised the new organisational structure, which is adapted to the constantly growing demands of the global market with clearly defined areas of responsibility, as well as the clarity and innovation of our corporate website and document lists, which are maintained in scrupulous detail and which have been extended to include the new business units.

“The positive evaluation and the recommendations made during the intensive and stimulating discussions that took place at the audit are incentive for us to continue optimising and fine-tuning the high level of our processes and procedures on an on-going basis for the benefit of our customers,” stated André Grütter, Quality Manager at Berlac AG.

Recertification (the current certificate is valid until 5 October 2014) is scheduled for the 3rd week of September 2014.
